Monsoon, Peaches, and DeLaCreme starring in Hocus Pocus!

 To quote RuPaul,

"oh my sweet gerkins!"

Jinkx Monsoon and Ben DeLaCreme revamp Hocus Pocus

Thank Peaches Christ for bringing these two Seattle queens together for the smartest idea ever.  Tickets are being sold here (on Peaches Christ's Website) to a live performance of Disney's Hocus Pocus. By the way am I the only person who thinks Peaches and DeLa should hit the road as 'Peaches and Creme'?

If you're not familiar, Hocus Pocus is a 1993 Disney Movie about three witches who return from a century long slumber to steal the youth from little children in Salem, Massachusetts.  Originally starring Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker, I'm excited to see how these lively maidens are brought to live by this trio of hilarious performers.

Ben DeLaCreme made waves with her eliminated on RuPaul's Drag Race Season 6, placing fourth when many had her as the top contender for the crown.  I'm glad to see her teaming up with Jinkx Monsoon, season 5's winner, to bring one of my favorite childhood movies to life.

DeLaCreme will be playing Kathy Najimy's part, Jinkx as Sarah Jessica Parker, and Peaches Christ as the immutable Bette Midler.  Which makes sense because I don't think Peaches has a mute button either.

Now all we need is a reason to get DeLa back into that Leopard outfit she wore for Shade! The Rusical!

Here's a short clip from Hocus Pocus to get you all buying tickets to Peaches show.  Lord knows if I was in San Francisco, I would be there!  This WILL be the best scene of the whole play, I assure you.

Jonny McGovern's Interview with RuPaul

THIS IS NOT

WAIT... yes it is.

Hey there racists!

Still nothing official in terms of cast or the like, but this interview which took place back in May of this year (2014) said that filming had not begun yet. RuPaul also offered some insight into the audition process and what he looks for in a lady.  Mind you I say he because he is not in drag.

On Hey Qween, RuPaul talks to Jonny McGovern about a few behind the scenes thoughts on RuPaul's Drag Race.  I love watching RuPaul talk as a man.  He's so much freer with his hands then when in Drag, which is great because the poise works as a lady.  His embellishments make me live.

Honestly I could watch him listing things on his fingers for days.  Months even.  So while I wait for Miguel to finish his interview with RuPaul on his show tonight, here's the video of RuPaul being interviewed by Jonny McGovern.

Can I also just say, I kind of love McGovern.  That man can dress, love the check, love the red, and his personality is the kind I think mainstream media would eat. up.

What Queen Do YOU Want on Season 7?

Hey there Racists,

DragOfficial is once again doing the best thing ever.  This time it's a poll where you can vote on which queen you would most want to see on season 7 of RuPaul's Drag Race.  If you're a DWV fan like I am, you'll be wanting to see Vicki Vox fill up the screen (really fill it up).

In case you've been living under a rock, here's a DWV Video for you to educate yourself.  I forgive you, because it's not strictly Drag Race, but it IS Willam, and it IS Detox, so wtf man.

Once you've finished that video, go vote for the Queen you most want to see (cough Vicki Vox cough) on DragOfficial here.  Other queens you can vote for are Cocoa Chandelier, Miss Cocoa Peru, Hedda Lettuce, and even Ornacia.  Yes, THAT Ornacia!

I know who I'll be voting for, if it isn't obvious enough.  Vicki, my lady, it would be a dream to see you on RuPaul's Drag Race.

Now you know that news will be slow about season seven until the first things start leaking - but rest assured racists, as soon as things come out I will be certain to keep posting them.  Even if it's just conjecture or fun voting stuff.

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 7 is Coming!

It's old news, but it's GOOD news.

As seen here, RuPaul's Drag Race Season 7 is definitely going to be making our lives more fabulous.  As you all well know by now, Bianca Del Rio has been one of the best reigning queens ever.  She stayed on top of her social media spotlight and is taking her fame right up to the gates of the next season, best believe.

In order to help celebrate the old but good news that a seventh season is certain, I curated this video from youtube which is a really well done best of Bianca Del Rio compilation.

Could the new cast steal our hearts the same way Bianca did?  I'm sure they will.  I'm going to be scouring for some casting rumors and see if I can post the better written ones up here with some summaries.  Until then, keep the race alive by following the queens on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.  Seriously.  Do it now.
